Quality Assurance

Apricot is an organisation committed to providing a quality experience to its students. Staff are enthusiastic and thorough with high aspirations; they aim to be outstanding. They provide a valuable, flexible good quality educational experience to a number of students who would struggle to access this otherwise. (Warwickshire QA Audit)

While we are not subject to direct inspection by Ofsted, we know you are!

Our cycles of quality assurance operate in harmony with the structure of the academic year and are specifically designed to enable our commissioning bodies to justify their choice to work with us easily.

Apricot’s self-evaluation framework is founded on Ofsted’s framework for section 5 inspections and also acknowledges the DfE’s statutory guidance for alternative education provision. Our QA calendar ensures our performance in all key areas of scrutiny is regularly reviewed and the outcomes are used to inform ongoing planning and development. Feedback and KPIs from commissioning bodies also influence our reflective practice to ensure we are responsive to identified needs.

Recruitment, selection, and induction of teachers and their ongoing CPD all prioritise identification and enhancement of skills associated with successful teaching of vulnerable young people in the virtual learning environment. Above and beyond Ofsted’s expectations, our enhanced criteria for lesson observations extends to include skills specific to outstanding online teaching.

Apricot strives to be outstanding on behalf of our clients in all that we do.
