Collaboration between parents and teachers can bring out the best in students

Teachers only see students for a few hours each day, and may be unaware of a child’s interests or passions they might have away from the classroom. Parents, however, may be more aware of triggers, good and bad, and with good communication between parents and teachers this information can help to bring out the best in a student. For example, a student who performs poorly in English may spend hours at home watching movies, and armed with that knowledge a teacher can easily make a link between film and literature to re-engage with that student.
