Interventions

Focus on success for all

Our students need help to overcome the greatest obstacles standing between themselves and an education. Whether challenged by mentally or physically impaired health that manifests in a myriad of different ways, we have the skills, experience, strategies, and time to facilitate their learning for optimum impact.

Increasingly, Apricot is a first choice option for schools and LAs to enable their students to enjoy an education that will ensure they are not consigned to a life of economic and social vulnerability. Consequently, we ensure that learning becomes a positive experience, with all the inherent benefits that brings.

Interventions to meet needs and gain skills

Whether gaps in learning, high anxiety, self-regulation, or any other issue that has brought your young person to Apricot, our teachers are able and willing to help them overcome their barriers to learning. Building trust is a crucial first step. Listening to students in order to tailor lesson content and pace is a close second. Building resilience, confidence, and academic skills are a close third. We understand that learning becomes possible when the whole child is considered.

We provide tangible interventions in all subjects that push your key marginal students forward, boost progress, and fill gaps in education.

Personalised learning and pathways

To maximise our students’ time with us, looking at each individual’s particular challenges is prioritised as the first step toward positive outcomes.

A youngster may have missed a lot of school due to illness or may be debilitated by extreme fatigue. We can ensure that gaps in learning are quickly closed within a suitable timetable that takes into account their energy levels and ability to focus. Lessons can also be broken up with breaks to align with energy and focus levels.

We have a wealth of strategies and capabilities that allow us to accommodate the needs of all our students.
