The safe employment of staff is the first step to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in education. Apricot Online Ltd is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. It is recognised that this can only be achieved through sound procedures, good inter-agency cooperation and the employment and retention of competent, motivated staff suited to the roles they undertake.
Apricot’s internal QA cycle revolves around the structure of the academic year. Learning walks and formal lesson observations are held termly and judged against our criteria for best practice that extends beyond Ofsted’s expectations. These include skills specific to teaching effectively in the online environment and the personalisation of lessons for our vulnerable cohorts.
As with any school website, Apricot’s policies are available to all. If there is a policy you would like to see that is not on the current public list, please let us know.
Acceptable use agreement
At the end of each student induction, the Acceptable Use Agreement needs to be confirmed by every student user of our learning platform and classrooms. This pledge is available for all to view.
